The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) is bringing back its much-anticipated Photography Contest for 2025, offering cash prizes of up to P100,000. Now in its third year since its revival in 2023, the competition kicks off on February 1, 2025—15 days earlier than last year.
Open to all Filipino photographers aged 16 and above, both amateur and professional, this year’s contest carries the theme “Infrastructure for Economic Development.” Participants are encouraged to showcase how infrastructure projects such as highways, bridges, airports, and green energy facilities contribute to the country’s progress.
“We aim to highlight the role of these developments in improving connectivity, boosting trade, generating jobs, and fostering inclusive growth nationwide,” said PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco.
Entries will be accepted in three categories: Conventional (photos taken with digital cameras), Mobile (captured with smartphones, tablets, and action cameras), and Drone (aerial shots taken with drone-mounted cameras).
Eight grand winners will be chosen from each category. The Conventional Category winners will receive P100,000 in cash and a trophy, while winners in the Mobile and Drone Categories will take home P50,000 each along with a trophy. Additionally, 24 non-winning finalists will also receive prizes.
