Filipino-owned IchiRyu named Best Ramen Restaurant UAE in 2025 awards

IchiRyu, the home of the best ramen in the UAE, has received another recognition this year. It was named the Best Ramen Restaurant UAE at the International Business Magazine Awards 2025 held last December 7 at the Palm Jumeirah Dubai. IchiRyu is the only Filipino-owned company homegrown in the UAE that was honored in the prestigious event.

Alongside IchiRyu, other companies awarded were Kuwait Oil Company, Allianz Egypt, and Foodics.
International Business Magazine is a UAE-based online publishing company with a subscriber base of more than 50,000 that includes investors, C-suite employees, key stakeholders, policymakers and government bureaucrats from the Middle East, Africa, the Americas, Asia, and Europe.
Present in the ceremony were Executive Chef Touru De Guzman, President and COO Karl De Guzman, CFO Mary Rose Marcellano, Operations Manager Jay Javier, and Chairman and Chief Design Officer Nicolai De Guzman.

“This recognition is a celebration of the passion and dedication of our employees. We also share this honor to our loyal patrons who continue to support IchiRyu. This award is proof that Filipino talent is indeed world-class and can triumph in the global stage and market,” said Nicolai De Guzman.
Earlier this year, IchiRyu was named Best Ramen Restaurant UAE at the Arabian Best of Best Awards 2025 last June and World Business Outlook 2025 last November. It also received Excellence in Restaurant Services at The Bizz Awards 2025 last July.

IchiRyu is located at Wasl Port Views Building 7, Jumeirah 1 and Marina First Building, Dubai Marina. Its best-selling ramen include the aka paitan, Kotteri or Chef’s special ramen, kaisen ramen, and Tsukemen or dipping ramen. It is the first ramen restaurant to bring Japan’s bocchi seki or solo dining experience to the UAE.
