GEMS Global Institute once again demonstrated its commitment to community service as it successfully held a three-day Medical Mission at Dana Mall, Sanabis, from December 4 to 6, 2025. The initiative brought essential health support to residents and visitors, strengthening the institute’s mission of serving with compassion and professionalism.

A total of 20 Nursing Assistant graduates volunteered throughout the event, applying the skills they acquired during their comprehensive training at GEMS. Under the guidance of their dedicated supervisors—Trainers Maan Macaldo-Caya, Arvin Caya, and Shera Arollado (BSN, RN, GN)—the graduates provided free blood pressure checks and glucose monitoring to the public. Their commitment and teamwork showcased the readiness and capability of Filipino healthcare trainees in Bahrain.
Leading the event were Ms. Gem B. Reyes, President & CEO of GEMS Global Institute, and Dr. Benson A. Castillejos, Vice President & Executive Director, whose presence reinforced the organization’s strong support for community outreach initiatives. Their leadership continues to inspire programs that not only educate but also uplift and serve the public.

The partnership with Dana Mall allowed GEMS Global Institute to reach a wider audience, fulfilling its goal of bringing essential health services closer to the people. The mission also served as a meaningful platform for graduates to gain real-world experience and contribute to the community through volunteerism.
As GEMS Global Institute expands its educational and community-focused programs, the success of this Medical Mission stands as a testament to the power of service-driven leadership and the enduring Filipino spirit of bayanihan.
