Filipino Institute founder exalted as new chapter commander of Knights of Rizal in Qatar

Mr. Gabriel John Rimando, the founder and president of the Filipino Institute, has been exalted as the Chapter Commander of the Knights of Rizal’s Qatar Chapter. This prestigious role was announced by the Filipino Institute, highlighting Mr. Rimando’s significant contributions and leadership.

Mr. Rimando’s exaltation also coincided with his elevation to the rank of Knight Commander of Rizal (KCR) in Bahrain. This honor was conferred upon him during a solemn knighting ceremony on June 18, 2024, marking the 163rd birth anniversary of Dr. José Rizal.

Based in Dubai, Mr. Rimando oversees educational institutions in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain, Bahrain, Qatar, and the Philippines. His leadership and commitment to education align with the principles of the Knights of Rizal, a civic and patriotic organization dedicated to promoting the ideals and teachings of Dr. José Rizal, the national hero of the Philippines.
