The Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu has confirmed another Filipino fatality in the recent Maui wildfires, bringing the total number of Filipino casualties to three. The latest victim is identified as 77-year-old Salvador Coloma.
The three confirmed fatalities, all elderly males, are:
- Alfredo Galinato
- Rodolfo Racunan
- Salvador Coloma
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) mentioned that the consulate is currently verifying the nationality of other reported casualties in connection with the wildfires.
There have been online reports suggesting that Conchita Sagudang, 75, and Danilo Sagudang, 55, are from Abra province in the Philippines. However, the consulate’s records have not verified this claim. Additionally, Antonia Molina, 64, and Carlo Tobias, 54, are reported online to have relatives in the Philippines, but consulate records have not supported this information so far.
The DFA continues to work closely with local authorities to gather more details and extend support to Filipino families affected by the tragedy.
