Filipino businessman in UAE donates over P1 million to support Malabon school’s development

Beyond his achievements in real estate and film, Aquino Plotado remains steadfast in his commitment to education and community development through the Aquino Plotado Philanthropy Foundation.

In a heartfelt demonstration of gratitude, Plotado recently donated ₱1 million to his alma mater, Potrero National High School in Malabon City, Philippines, to support the school’s development programs. His generosity extended further, with the donation of nine brand-new printers for various departments and a sound system for school activities and Sunday Masses.

To honor the institution and the educators who helped shape his journey, Plotado organized and fully funded a special tribute event titled “A Celebration of Gratitude: Honoring Our Teachers and School,” held on March 30, 2025. Although business commitments abroad prevented him from attending personally, Aquino Plotado allocated a total of nearly ₱3 million to cover school donations, cash gifts to teachers and alumni, and the complete production of the event. The occasion was made even more memorable with a special appearance by Filipino celebrity Mark Herras.

During the event, Plotado’s heartfelt message was shared with the community:

“Potrero National High School provided me with the foundation for my personal and professional success. It is where it all started, and I express my deepest gratitude to the teachers who molded and inspired me.”
