The Filipino Business Council Bahrain (FBCB) celebrated its grand launch and induction of officers on November 30, 2023, at the Ramada Hotel. The event marked a significant step in supporting Filipino entrepreneurs in Bahrain.
Dr. Ilene Agana, Head of Government Relations, opened the event, followed by UNIDO Representatives who emphasized the role of international collaboration in economic growth. Mr. Yusuf Lori from the Capital Government and Shaikh Daij Bin Isa Al Khalifa, Chairman of the ASEAN Bahrain Council, spoke about the importance of unified efforts for prosperity and cultural exchange.
The event also featured a speech from H.E. Anne Jalando on-Louis, represented by Mr. Bryan Jess B. Baguio, First Secretary & Consul of the Philippine Embassy in Bahrain, focusing on the potential of the Filipino business community.
The induction of the new officers included President Rene P. Ramos, who outlined the council’s mission to assist Filipino entrepreneurs in Bahrain. The new team consists of Vice President Anthony Manabat, Secretary Cristina Fulgencio, Treasurer Marilou Martinez, and several committee heads and members.
The event concluded with Vice President Manabat’s closing remarks, reinforcing the council’s commitment to fostering Filipino and Bahraini business opportunities.
