Fermin III, the young Filipino running sensation from Fujairah, has once again made history by securing first place in the 5KM race (10 years old and below category) at the RAK Marathon 2025. Competing against over 200 runners from more than 15 countries, Fermin III clocked an impressive 33 minutes and 13 seconds, according to official timekeeper Mika Timing (Germany).
This marks his second consecutive victory in a UAE marathon after his outstanding performance at the Expo City Half Marathon 2025 last month, where he dominated the 5KM race (6-9 years old boys category) with a commanding lead of over three minutes. His back-to-back wins have cemented his status as one of the most promising young athletes in the UAE’s running scene.
Representing Heart of RAK, his sponsor for this year’s marathon, Fermin III showcased his exceptional speed, endurance, and unwavering determination. His consistent pacing helped him keep up with elite runners while enjoying the competitive atmosphere of the international road race.
With two major titles under his belt, the Fujairah-based Filipino champion now sets his sights on his next challenge—the Half Marathon at Yas Island (5KM category) this coming April.
