Jasmin Bungay, the Philippines’ representative at Miss Globe 2024, has captivated audiences with her stunning national costume ahead of the competition’s coronation night on October 15, 2024, in Albania.
In her Instagram post, Bungay wrote, “Inspired by the nights when OFWs wonder and watch the night sky in the deserts of the Middle East, playing back moments and memories with their families; hoping for the fruition of their sacrifices, of their toiling.”
She added, “When midnight blue envelopes the world, each twinkle of a star is a prayer of every OFW dreaming of home.”
Bungay, a former OFW in Dubai, shared that her costume symbolizes the dreams and sacrifices of Filipinos working abroad, with each star representing a prayer of hope. Now a beauty queen and advocate for OFW rights and the SOGIE Equality Bill, Bungay continues to inspire Filipinos globally through her journey from overseas work to pageant success.
