A 27-year-old native of Pampanga, Philippines, currently finds himself in detention at the Anchorage Correctional Complex following his arrest on charges of alleged sexual abuse of a minor. The arrest was carried out by the Police Crime Against Children Unit (CACU).
Danel John Santos, whose occupation is listed as a childcare provider, has been in this line of work for six years, according to information released by the Anchorage Police Department. Concerns have arisen that there may be additional victims, prompting law enforcement officials to urge potential victims to come forward and aid in the ongoing investigation.
Santos faces three counts of sexual abuse of a minor, with the current charges pertaining to victims known to him through his babysitting jobs. CACU detectives acknowledge the existence of multiple victims and suspect that there may be more.
To assist in identifying potential victims, the Anchorage Police Department has released a photograph of Santos and is encouraging anyone with information or who may have been affected to contact authorities.
