“Palette of Portraits: An Artist’s Glimpse of the Soul,” an art exhibition organized in collaboration with Artpoint, recently unveiled the extraordinary world of portraiture by immensely talented Filipino artists in the Emirates. This event, held at Artpoint in Al Wasl, Dubai, provided art enthusiasts a visual treat, revealing the depth and breadth of portraiture’s power to capture the human soul.
The event commenced with an opening reception on 30th September, graced by esteemed guests like Mr. Ahmad Al Awadhi Rukni, Dr. Mary Jane Alvero, and Artpoint Co-Founders/Owners Mr. Mohammed Janahi, Mr. Hatem Al Sayegh, and Ms. Bernadette Eslais. Their presence underscored the value and recognition for the Filipino artists and their craft.
The Filipino Artist Guild in the Emirates masterfully curated this event, presenting a captivating selection of portraits by 26 artists, including AJ Buhler, Alden Velasquez, Angel Domantay, and guest artist Amani Ceramics, among others. Spanning a myriad of styles, from traditional oil to colored pencils, the exhibition revealed the vast artistic diversity of the Filipino community in the Emirates.
Notably, “Palette of Portraits” delved deeper than just technical prowess. Each piece conveyed the essence of its subject, bridging a connection between the viewer, artist, and the portrayed, transcending cultural divides.
The month-long exhibition runs until 30th October, inviting all art lovers to experience this rich tapestry of emotions and stories beautifully rendered in portraits.
