Filipino artists explore cultural heritage in first CAMP ARTeX exhibition in Milan

The Contemporary Art Movement of the Philippines (CAMP), founded by artist Ayen Quias, hosted its inaugural CAMP ARTeX exhibition from October 7 to 14, 2024, at the Philippine Consulate General in Milan. The exhibition featured the works of ten Filipino artists from the Philippines, Milan, and Germany, focusing on the theme “Intangible Cultural Heritage.” This event highlighted the rich cultural practices, expressions, and knowledge that have shaped the Filipino identity over time.

CAMP, established to provide a platform for both emerging and established Filipino artists, aims to elevate Filipino art to a global audience. With a mission to inspire indigenous peoples and promote collaborative artistic efforts, CAMP continues to uplift Filipino creativity internationally. The group has made significant strides by holding exhibitions in key European cities, including Milan, The Hague, and Paris.

The Milan exhibit featured the following participating artists:

  • Ayen Quias (Founder of CAMP)
  • Noel Nicolas
  • Gem Quias
