A vibrant new chapter in Filipino art unfolds in the UAE as TeryMari Gallery, an online platform championing Filipino creatives, makes its physical debut with its first-ever exhibition at MAVON Gallery on Sheikh Zayed Road.
The exhibit, titled TWO SUNS RISE, brings together the work of eight Filipino visual artists in a compelling cross-cultural dialogue with Emirati artist Khalid Salem. With styles spanning surrealism, realism, expressionism, symbolism, and abstract cubism, the showcase explores identity, belonging, migration, and cultural exchange through diverse artistic lenses.

“TeryMari Gallery began online, but the vision was always bigger—to create a global platform where Filipino creatives are celebrated, connected, and empowered,” said founder Maria Teresa Santos.
Marking the gallery’s transition from digital to physical, the exhibition officially opens to the public on July 13 and runs through July 31. Visitors can expect a rich artistic experience that celebrates both Filipino and Arab culture. A private soft opening on July 12 will offer a multisensory cultural event, featuring a guided tour of the collection, live Baybayin and Arabic calligraphy stations, and a unique music performance blending traditional rhythms from both regions.

TeryMari’s launch is supported by TRIBE, the creative subcommittee of the Philippine Business Council – Dubai & Northern Emirates (PBC-DNE), which is recognized by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce. As a TRIBE member, Santos’ work is aligned with its mission to uplift Filipino creatives through connection and collaboration.
Admission to TWO SUNS RISE is free. The exhibit is open from Tuesdays to Thursdays, 10 AM to 8 PM, and Fridays to Saturdays, 11 AM to 10 PM.
