Helen Grace Arceo, a Filipino-American nurse from Virginia, has been awarded a house and lot worth P1.8 million for her participation in the Department of Tourism’s (DOT) “Bisita, Be My Guest” program.
The awarding ceremony took place at the DOT central office in Makati, where Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco highlighted the initiative’s aim to promote tourism through connections of love for country and family.
Arceo, who registered as a sponsor for her husband, Juan Arceo III, was declared the grand prize winner in the program’s second raffle draw in December 2023.
In addition to the house and lot from Amaia Land, Arceo received a four-day, three-night stay at The Marison Hotel in Albay and roundtrip tickets to Legazpi courtesy of Cebu Pacific.
The “Bisita, Be My Guest” program, in partnership with the Department of Migrant Workers and the Tourism Promotions Board Philippines, encourages Filipinos abroad to promote the Philippines as a travel destination. Participants enjoy perks and raffle entries for exciting prizes.
Other winners from the program received travel packages, shopping vouchers, and international roundtrip tickets. The grand raffle draw, scheduled for December 16, 2024, promises even bigger rewards, including a condominium unit.
