Filipina student from Dubai wins multiple awards at Dubai International Dance Competition 2025

Daniella Alessandra P. Daniel, a standout student of The Philippine School (TPS) in Dubai, has once again proven her exceptional artistry after earning multiple distinctions at the Dubai International Dance Competition (DIDC) 2025, held at the Sharjah Performing Arts Academy (SPAA).

Now in its sixth edition, the DIDC took place on 6–7 December and was graced by the presence of Consul General Ambrosio Bryan F. Enciso. The event gathered elite dance schools from across the UAE, along with performers from the USA, Hong Kong, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Greece, and Romania.

Daniella showcased remarkable versatility as she competed in four categories—securing podium finishes in all of them.

Her Aspire Ballet team captured first place in the Ballet Classical Group category with a performance featuring 16 dancers. She also claimed first place in Ballet Classical Duo, performing a seamless and expressive routine with her partner, Mia Alghareeb.

In the solo division, Daniella’s refined classical technique on pointe earned her a third-place finish—an impressive result in a highly competitive field. In addition, she led a younger five-member contemporary group to second place, demonstrating not only her stage presence but also her growing leadership in choreography and performance.

These achievements further solidify Daniella’s rising profile in the international dance community. She previously excelled in the DIDC 2024, delivered a strong performance at the Asian Grand Prix in Manila in April 2025, attended the Intensive Ballet Summer Camp in Romania in July 2025, and placed in the top 10 at the Global Dance Open Finals in the Netherlands, where she was also named crowd favorite for her Blue Bird variation.

Beyond her artistic endeavors, Daniella is recognized for her ability to balance academic excellence, rigorous dance training, and community involvement. She is an active member of the TPS Drums and Lyre Corps and regularly performs at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Sharjah during family fest celebrations.

Daniella’s latest accomplishments continue to affirm her promise as one of the region’s most inspiring and talented young dancers.
