Engr. Schonberg is the only Filipina working in the UAE innovation unit of the Ajman national robotics competition, where she has been making strides in the international community by advancing the K12 educational curriculum.
The initiative integrates the “Hope Probe” campaign and the upcoming lunar rover mission into STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) subjects, providing students with the opportunity to study planetary science as part of their curriculum.
The recognition comes after Engr. Schonberg’s feature in a special edition of NUANCE Magazine titled “Empowered Filipina Overseas,” which highlights Filipinas creating significant impacts overseas and bringing pride to the Filipino community.

The engineer has been notably recognized with several awards in recent years, including being named the Eminent Awards 2023 Special Awardee, the Asia’s Golden Iconic Awards 2023 Awardee, and the Global Filipino Icon 2021 Awardee. These accolades underscore her significant role and contributions in the academic and technological advancements happening in the UAE and beyond.
