Romana Didulo, a Filipina self-proclaimed “Queen of Canada,” was arrested once again on September 4 — just a day after she and 15 of her followers were released following a police raid on their compound in Richmound, Saskatchewan.
According to Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), the group was taken into custody during a police operation targeting the building they had occupied — a former elementary school. While the initial arrests led to no charges, Didulo was rearrested shortly after for allegedly violating her release conditions.
Authorities said Didulo had been ordered not to contact Ricky Manz, the property owner of the school-turned-compound, yet the two reportedly communicated after their release. Manz was also taken into custody and now faces similar charges.
Didulo is now charged with failure to comply with an undertaking and one count of intimidating a justice system participant. As of September 8, she was granted bail but was ordered to remain in Regina until her trial. She is expected to appear in court on September 17.
Once a relatively obscure figure, Didulo gained notoriety online through her affiliation with the QAnon movement in Canada, where she spread conspiracy theories and declared herself as the nation’s sovereign leader. Her activities have drawn scrutiny from law enforcement and the public, especially as she continues to amass followers under her fringe beliefs.
