For the second time, Sharon Francisco Cabello, a Filipina expatriate living in Abu Dhabi, has struck gold in the Big Ticket’s Dream Car draw. This time around, she’s the proud winner of a Jeep Rubicon, with her winning ticket number 013280, which she purchased for Dh150. This comes on the heels of her victory just a few months ago, in August, when she took home a brand-new BMW.
“I have been a resident since 2004 and won a BMW last August. I am very happy,” an ecstatic Sharon shared with Khaleej Times.
This isn’t the first time Sharon has tried her luck. She has been regularly buying Big Ticket raffle and Dream Car tickets since 2017, alongside five family members. Following her first win, she sold the BMW for over Dh300,000. “I used my portion of the winnings to build my home in the Philippines. The rest was distributed among my family,” Sharon, who is employed as a procurement assistant at a hedge company, recalled.
However, the Jeep Rubicon she’s recently won won’t be staying with her for long. Sharon has plans to sell it, with intentions of using the proceeds towards her son’s education and to explore a new business opportunity. Living in the capital with her husband and son, Sharon remains hopeful and plans to continue trying her luck in the hopes of landing the grand cash prize in the future.
