For over 25 years, Omar has worked for the same Emirati family in Khor Fakkan, demonstrating extraordinary loyalty and dedication throughout her career.
According to a report by The National, Omar plans to fulfill her long-held dream of rebuilding her parents’ home with the prize money she received. Her recognition highlights the critical role of domestic workers in the UAE and underscores the importance of valuing their contributions.
The Emirates Labour Market Award, launched in 2023 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE), aims to strengthen the UAE’s labour market. The award’s objectives include enhancing competitiveness, promoting well-being, honoring excellence, and boosting productivity within the workforce.
