In addition to her work with the Golden Globes, Nepales holds leadership roles in several film festivals, including the Soho International Film Festival and the Manila International Film Festival.

Her long list of accolades includes the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award in Journalism, presented to her by President Joe Biden at The Outstanding Filipinos in America (TOFA) Awards in 2022. Nepales has been recognized multiple times by the Los Angeles Press Club and was named Journalist of the Year by the Filipino American Press Club of California in 2022.
