Ras Al Khaimah has introduced the first commercial aerobatic flight experience in the UAE, promising speeds up to 400kmph and breathtaking views of the coast, desert, and mountains. Wayne Jack, the director of Flight Operations and CEO of ActionFlight, announced that the company has successfully conducted several flights following recent regulatory approval.
According to a Khaleej Times report, the adventure begins at RAK International Airport, with flights reaching altitudes between 2,000 and 6,000 feet. Passengers can enjoy the stunning landscape between Marjan Island, Cove Rotana, and Al Rams, guided by Air Traffic Control. The aerobatic display includes loops, rolls, hammerheads, avalanches, inverted flights, and vertical climbs up to 3,000 feet.
The EXTRA 330 aircraft, known as the ‘Ferrari of the skies,’ are designed for this high-level aerobatic performance, enduring forces of up to plus and minus 10G. Jack emphasized that while the experience is adrenaline-packed, it’s tailored to individual comfort levels, ensuring a thrilling yet enjoyable ride for everyone.
The complete experience, priced at Dh2,399, lasts around three hours, including pickup, briefing, flight suit fitting, and a 20-minute flight. Flights are available from 7 am to 5 pm during daylight hours.
Jack, along with Pete Lindsay, both experienced pilots with backgrounds in Emirates Boeing 777 and military jets, are at the helm of these flights. They aim to offer an unforgettable experience, balancing the thrill of aerobatics with the safety and comfort of their passengers.
