The family of two missing Filipino American toddlers from Sacramento, California, has raised the reward to $12,000 in hopes of gathering leads to find them.
Two-year-old Mateo Lee and four-year-old Athena Lee were last seen with their father, Camron Lee, whose car was later discovered abandoned in Ensenada, Mexico. Their mother, 28-year-old Angelica Bravo, was found dead in her ex-partner Camron’s North Sacramento home in July last year.
The children’s grandmother, Dawn Bodea, made an emotional plea on social media, urging the public to help locate her missing grandchildren. She expressed deep sorrow over the loss of her daughter and the ongoing search for the toddlers, marking six months since Angelica’s passing.
Initially offering $10,000, Bodea and her family now aim to raise $50,000 to speed up the search. Sacramento police continue to work with various agencies to locate the children, but no arrest warrant has been issued against Camron Lee, as authorities have not confirmed his involvement in a crime. Bravo’s cause of death remains undetermined.
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Sacramento Police Department at (916) 808-5471 or (916) 808-0560. Bodea is also appealing for donations to increase the reward fund and urging people to share her message online to raise awareness.
