The Royal Oman Police (ROP) have apprehended two Omani citizens for pretending to be police officers, forcibly entering homes, and committing theft. The suspects targeted the residences of two individuals, stealing their money and phones, and attempted to assault the victims during the robbery.
In an official statement shared on social media, the ROP confirmed that the legal process against the suspects is underway.
“The Al Dhahirah Governorate Police Command arrested two citizens for impersonating police officers, entering the homes of two residents, stealing their money and phones by force, and attempting to assault them,” the ROP declared.
In another case, the North Al Batinah Governorate Police Command arrested an Asian expatriate in Sohar for stealing money and goods from three commercial stores. The ROP noted that legal proceedings are also in progress for this suspect.
