TV superstar Vice Ganda has distanced himself from a viral social media post falsely attributed to him, which praised former President Rodrigo Duterte’s anti-crime efforts and pandemic response.
On Tuesday night, the It’s Showtime host took to social media to deny any connection to the statement, calling it “fake news” and urging the public to verify information before believing or sharing it. He also asked netizens to report the misleading post.
Vice Ganda’s clarification came just hours after Duterte was arrested on an International Criminal Court (ICC) warrant for alleged crimes against humanity related to his war on drugs.
