Dubai Metro will operate extended hours from December 28 to December 30, catering to the increased passenger traffic expected at Dubai International Airport (DXB) during the busy holiday season. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced that trains between Centrepoint and GGICO stations will run until 2 AM the following day to ensure smooth and safe transportation for travelers.
Dubai International Airport is preparing to handle over 5.2 million passengers between December 13 and December 31, averaging around 274,000 daily. The peak day is anticipated on December 20, with nearly 296,000 travelers passing through its terminals. This surge comes as Dubai cements its position as a global travel hub, with DXB projected to reach a record 91.9 million passengers in 2024, surpassing its 2018 record of 89.1 million.
