With school holidays underway, Expo City Dubai is continuing its Winter Edition camps for children aged 5 to 12, with sessions running on weekdays until January 2, 2026. The programme, based at Terra, blends outdoor exploration with creative learning and remains open throughout December and the first week of the new year.
Designed as a screen-free alternative for the holiday break, the camp follows a rotating set of daily themes inspired by nature and the environment. Activities range from observing pond ecosystems and forest floors to learning about native plants, fungi, farming, wind, and weather, alongside hands-on tasks such as twig sculpture-building, nature-based painting, honey tasting, and basic camping skills.
Participants are divided into two age groups—5 to 7 and 8 to 12—to ensure activities are developmentally appropriate. Each group is supported by an experienced facilitation team, with sessions structured to encourage curiosity, creativity, and care for the natural world through both indoor and outdoor experiences.
Beyond environmental learning, the camp also integrates physical activity and skills-based sessions. AFC coaches lead dedicated sports activities, while Dubai Police contribute interactive K9 demonstrations and self-defence workshops. Nikon adds a creative dimension through guided photography sessions that introduce children to capturing nature through a camera lens.
Daily schedules also include free-play time at Taqa Island, Expo City Dubai’s nature-inspired playground, giving campers unstructured space to explore and unwind between guided activities.
Parents accompanying campers can access discounted amenities during camp hours, including 25 percent off coworking spaces at the Women’s Pavilion and 20 percent off dining at Expo Rove Hotel.
The Expo City Dubai Camps: Winter Edition run from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, at Terra, Expo City Dubai. Rates are set at AED 190 per day, with early bird pricing of AED 152 available until December 5. Weekly passes cost AED 845, or AED 676 at the early bird rate, while a four-week pass is priced at AED 2,400. Optional services include early drop-off at AED 40 per day and extended care at AED 100 per day.
