The Ajman Police successfully recovered Dh125,000 in cash within three hours after an expatriate reported the money missing. The Indian national, residing in the UAE, experienced a lapse in attention that could have cost him dearly when he forgot his bag in a parking lot.
The incident transpired in the basement of the complainant’s residential building located in Rashidiya. After coming back from work, he placed the bag on another car while he gathered other items and absentmindedly left without it. Upon realizing his mistake, he returned to find the bag gone and promptly notified the authorities.
The police, upon receiving the report, acted swiftly to assemble an investigative team. With commendable speed and precision, they identified and apprehended the suspect who had taken the bag, retrieving it from his residence. The suspect admitted to seizing the opportunity when he discovered the unattended bag.
Expressing relief and gratitude, the complainant recounted how the Ajman Police had contacted him with the good news of the bag’s recovery in less than three hours after his complaint was lodged.
