Etihad Rail to connect Abu Dhabi and Dubai in under an hour with high-speed trains

Etihad Rail has announced the anticipated travel times for its upcoming passenger trains, promising faster journeys across the UAE. Residents can expect a trip from Abu Dhabi to Dubai to take just 57 minutes, cutting the usual travel time by over an hour. The route to Al Ruwais will take 70 minutes, while the journey from the capital to Fujairah is expected to be 105 minutes, Khaleej Times reported.

The high-tech rail service, part of the Dh50 billion UAE Railways Programme, will connect 11 cities and regions, including Sharjah, Al Mirfa, and Al Sila. With stylish interiors and state-of-the-art amenities, the passenger trains are expected to carry up to 36.5 million passengers annually once fully operational.

The rail network, which has already begun freight services, will soon launch its passenger line, with further details on destinations and timings to be revealed.
