Etihad Airways expands network with eight new destinations this summer

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, has significantly expanded its flight network, announcing the addition of eight new destinations this June. With these new routes, Etihad’s summer network now encompasses 76 destinations worldwide.

Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer at Etihad, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion: “It is an exciting month for Etihad as we deliver on our plans to expand our network with eight additional locations. We are launching flights to three important sites — Bali, Jaipur, and Al Qassim — which are already proving popular with our guests based on our forward bookings.”

The airline launched direct flights to several summer hotspots just in time for the Eid holiday, including Nice and Antalya, and resumed services to the Greek islands of Mykonos and Santorini. Additionally, earlier in June, Etihad reintroduced flights to Málaga, a favored Spanish vacation destination.

This week, the airline initiated services to Jaipur, India, enhancing its presence in the country with this being its 11th gateway. “Jaipur, known as the pink city, is a major tourist hotspot in Rajasthan, and we are excited to connect our guests to this vibrant city,” said Neves.

On June 24, Etihad is set to begin flights to Al Qassim in Saudi Arabia, its fourth destination within the Kingdom. Al Qassim is known for its rich cultural heritage and extensive date palm groves.

Following this expansion, on June 25, Etihad will start its inaugural flight to Bali, Indonesia. This new route aims to provide a direct link for tourists from the UAE and offers convenient connections for travelers from Europe, North America, and the GCC. The service to Bali, operating four times a week, invites visitors to explore everything from its pristine beaches to its picturesque green rice fields.
