Despite authorities only finding a handful of luxury cars at the Discayas’ compound in Pasig City, Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada on Tuesday said the controversial couple actually owns 80 motor vehicles—with at least 40 categorized as luxury rides.
Estrada made the revelation in a privilege speech on September 2, citing official records from the Land Transportation Office (LTO). “From LTO records, there are 63 vehicles – luxury and mainstream brands. Kasama po dyan yung mga binanggit ni Sarah Discaya kahapon sa hearing,” he said, referring to the Senate inquiry into anomalous flood control projects.
Among the high-end cars officially listed under Sarah Discaya’s name are a ₱42-million Rolls Royce Cullinan, a ₱20-million Bentley Bentayga, and two GMC Yukon Denalis priced at ₱11 million each. Also on record are a ₱20-million Mercedes-Benz G63, a ₱5-million Range Rover Evoque, and a black Cadillac Escalade pegged at ₱11 million.
Estrada pointed out that these were just a fraction of the vehicles linked to the Discayas. “Nakakalulang yaman ito. Kung doon sa 28 luxury cars na inamin ni Sarah na pag-aari nila ay halos hindi ako makapaniwala, wala pa pala ‘yun sa kalahati ng kabuuang bilang ng kanilang mga sasakyan,” he exclaimed.
The BOC had earlier executed a search warrant at the Discaya residence, yielding only three luxury vehicles, contrary to what whistleblowers and documents suggest. The senator noted that some of the most extravagant vehicles mentioned in Senate hearings, including a ₱22-million Maybach, a Cadillac Escalade in white, and a ₱7-million Range Rover Defender, are not even in the LTO’s database.
Estrada also cited a viral vlog by journalist Julius Babao, where eight more luxury cars linked to the couple were featured but not found in government records. These include a white Lexus LM, Toyota Alphard, Ford Bronco Sport, BMW X5 and X7, and two Massimo utility vehicles. A Mercedes Benz Avantgarde was also spotted.
Further investigation by Estrada’s office revealed even more high-end units believed to be in their possession, such as a Maserati, a Volvo XC90, a Mercedes GLS, and a Toyota Land Cruiser 300.
These are on top of the dozens of other vehicles registered under their companies—St. Gerrard Construction, Alpha and Omega, and Great Pacific Builders—including dump trucks, luxury vans, fire trucks, and motorcycles.
