Eraserheads documentary chronicles their journey, set to premiere in March 2025

Fans of the iconic OPM band Eraserheads are in for a treat as Warner Bros. Pictures announced the release of a documentary titled Eraserheads: Combo on the Run. The film is set to screen in theaters from March 21 to 23, 2025.

A newly released trailer highlights the band’s profound impact on pop culture, their breakup in 2002, and their momentous reunion concert in December 2022. It also reflects on how their music brought comfort to Filipinos during a time of political and social challenges.

“In 2022, during a time of uncertainty and political upheaval, this disbanded group of punks reunites to provide solace to a nation unknowingly needing healing themselves,” the trailer narrates.

The band members—Ely Buendia, Marcus Adoro, Raimund Marasigan, and Buddy Zabala—share personal insights on reuniting after years apart. Their 2022 reunion concert, held at the SMDC Festival Grounds, marked the first time they performed together since their breakup. The event sold out and reignited interest in the band’s legacy.

Formed in 1989, Eraserheads became a defining force in Filipino music with albums like Ultramagneticpop!, Circus, Cutterpillow, and Fruitcake. After disbanding, they reunited for a one-night concert in 2008 and embarked on international tours throughout the 2010s. Their 2022 reunion led to a world tour spanning the U.S., Canada, Dubai, and Singapore in 2023 and 2024.
