Enhypen’s latest initiative reaches far beyond the concert stage, as the K-pop group has extended support to Filipinos affected by recent natural disasters. Their label, Belift Lab, confirmed that the artists are contributing 100 million won to assist recovery efforts after destructive floods swept through several provinces.
Belift Lab explained that the donation is intended for “residents affected by the recent severe flooding, helping to aid recovery initiatives and community rebuilding efforts.” The contribution is being processed with the help of Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association and the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation, organizations coordinating assistance for impacted areas.
The agency said it was moved to act after learning about the widespread flooding. “We became aware of the recent severe flooding affecting many communities across the Philippines, a country that has long been close to our hearts,” Belift Lab stated.
Bulacan is set to receive focused aid from the donation. Enhypen previously performed there in March during the “Walk The Line” world tour, marking one of their earliest large-scale concerts in Southeast Asia. The group said, “We wanted to offer our support, even in a small way, and sincerely hope the contributions will be used to help those in need and assist in the ongoing recovery efforts. Our hearts are with the local community and fans during this challenging time.”
The flooding follows the devastation brought by typhoons Uwan and Tino in the past month, which displaced millions and resulted in multiple deaths. The scale of destruction led to the government declaring a national state of calamity.
Meanwhile, fans can still experience a special virtual reality feature centered on the group — composed of Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki — now showing at Gateway Cineplex until December 6.
