An Emirati resident of Al Ain is celebrating a life-changing win after bagging the Dh20 million grand prize in Big Ticket’s Draw Series 275, held in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.
Mubarak Gharib Rashed Salem Al Dhaheri emerged as the lucky winner after his ticket number 337126, which he bought on May 27 at Al Ain Airport, was drawn during the live show.
“Thank God. Yes, I am from Al Ain. I have been buying for the past two years,” Al Dhaheri shared with show hosts Richard and Bouchra. He confirmed that the winning ticket was his alone, adding, “Inshallah, I can do some charity and buy a house.”
Big Ticket host Richard expressed his excitement, noting, “I am speechless. Our first UAE [Emirati] jackpot grand winner in a long time.”
Interestingly, the winning ticket was selected by Thajudeen Aliyar Kunju, who was last month’s grand prize winner.
