Emirates has been named the ‘World’s Best Airline’ among 90 global carriers, according to a recent study by Telegraph Travel, the airline announced on Friday. The rankings were based on over 30 criteria, including punctuality, baggage allowances, route network, fleet age, home airport quality, and in-flight meal standards.
The study highlighted Emirates as a “worthy winner,” noting that it excelled in almost every category, from baggage rules to punctuality. The airline operates the largest fleet of Airbus A380s, and its Premium Economy class on these aircraft was also praised as the best in the sky.
The study’s findings were based on data from international awards, reader polls, review websites, and expert assessments. Emirates also secured several additional accolades this year, including seven at the Skytrax World Airline Awards and top honors at the Business Traveller Middle East Awards in May 2024.
Emirates stated that it is not affiliated with any of the awards or polls used in the study and does not pay to enter or sponsor them.
