Dubai-based carrier Emirates has announced plans to provide thousands of meal boxes for fasting passengers during the Holy Month of Ramadan, both onboard and at boarding gates of the Dubai International Airport. The airline disclosed this initiative on Friday, alongside other special services aimed at enhancing the Ramadan experience for its customers.
In addition to the meal boxes, Emirates revealed that it will be screening a variety of religious content and popular TV shows on its entertainment system, ice. Traditional Ramadan dishes will also be available at Emirates lounges for passengers to enjoy.
Moreover, Muslim passengers onboard flights will be informed of the iftar time by the captain, ensuring they can break their fast at the appropriate moment. This thoughtful gesture is part of Emirates’ commitment to providing a comfortable and accommodating journey for all its passengers during Ramadan.
Furthermore, Emirates will extend its special services to flights catering to Umrah groups traveling to Jeddah and Medina. Passengers on these flights will also receive Ramadan meal boxes tailored to their dietary needs.
Additionally, the airline has confirmed that passengers are entitled to check in one bottle of Zamzam water, a sacred Islamic water, containing up to 5 liters per person at Dubai International Airport and various airports in Saudi Arabia.
