Emirates Airline has confirmed that a viral video showing an Airbus A380 crash is entirely fabricated. The airline issued a statement on Saturday, clarifying that the footage is digitally created and untrue.
“We are in contact with various social media platforms to ensure the video is removed or labeled as digitally created to prevent the spread of false and alarming information,” Emirates said.
The airline, which operates the world’s largest fleet of Airbus A380s with 116 aircraft, emphasized its commitment to safety as a core value. It also noted that responses from social media platforms regarding content review requests are not timely enough.
While Emirates did not disclose when or where the video surfaced, it urged the public to rely on official sources for accurate information. “We deal with such matters with utmost seriousness,” the statement added.
