Ely Buendia releases second solo album ‘Method Adaptor’ – listen here

Ely Buendia, the iconic voice of 1990s OPM and frontman of the Eraserheads, has returned to the solo music scene with the release of his latest album, “Method Adaptor.” Following a packed year that included an Eraserheads reunion during the UAAP Season 87 opening and a global “Huling El Bimbo” tour, Buendia proves he’s far from slowing down.

The album features 10 original tracks, including the 2024 singles “Bulaklak Sa Buwan” and “Tagpi-Tagping Piraso.” Other notable songs in the lineup are “Faithful Song,” “Deadbeat Creeper,” and “Esprit de Corpse,” showcasing Buendia’s signature sound fused with modern influences.

“I think all the songs have something to do with rebelling—be it from the disappointments and hardships of life or from the control that people want to have on your mind. I would say these are the most defiant songs I’ve written so far,” Buendia shared in a statement.

The album marks Buendia’s first full-length solo effort in over two decades. With a mix of nostalgia and new-age production, the songs cater to both long-time fans and new listeners alike. “Bulaklak Sa Buwan” has already emerged as a fan favorite, drawing praise for its emotional depth.

“Method Adaptor is finally here. It’s been a labor of love putting this record together, and I would like to thank everyone for all their love and support, from the bottom of my tagpi-tagping heart. And to the fans, sige sige sige lang, stream it til the well runs dry,” Buendia expressed in an Instagram post.

Before his next performance on Nov. 23 in Singapore as part of the ongoing world tour, Buendia is set to celebrate his album launch tonight, Nov. 8, at 123 Block, Mandaluyong.
