Elisse Joson confirms breakup with McCoy de Leon, says ‘this is us stepping into a new chapter’

Actress Elisse Joson has confirmed that she and longtime partner McCoy de Leon have parted ways, ending their years-long on-and-off relationship that began in 2016.

In a heartfelt Facebook reel posted on Friday, Elisse opened up about the emotional toll of the breakup and her hopes for the future. “My biggest dream in life has always been to build a family I could call mine. A home,” she shared.

“But now, we’re learning to let go,” she added, signaling the couple’s decision to move forward separately.

Elisse and McCoy—popularly known as “McLisse”—first crossed paths during their stint in Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7 in 2016. They briefly broke up in 2018 before rekindling their romance in 2021. Together, they have one daughter, Felize.

Despite the separation, Elisse emphasized that their commitment as parents remains unchanged. “And letting go doesn’t mean we failed. Because what we had was real. And it gave us the greatest gift.. Our Felize,” she said.

“No matter how life changes, we will always belong to her. Her mommy. Her daddy. Her family. That will never ever change.”

She also appealed to the public for compassion, acknowledging how their story might one day shape their daughter’s understanding of love and family. “Thank you for holding space for our story. This is us, stepping into a new chapter with love, respect, and no regrets,” she concluded.

Elisse last appeared in Dirty Linen and Pira-Pirasong Paraiso in 2023, while McCoy currently stars as David Dimaguiba in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.
