The UAE has officially announced that Eid Al Fitr will begin on Sunday, March 30, 2025, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
The Moon-sighting Committee, led by Minister of Justice Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, confirmed that the crescent moon signaling the start of Shawwal was sighted on Saturday evening, March 29—making it the final day of fasting for this year’s Ramadan.
After thorough verification using Islamic methods and consultation with regional countries, the committee made the declaration. Eid Al Fitr celebrations will commence across the nation on Sunday.
The committee extended heartfelt greetings to the country’s leadership, including President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other UAE rulers, as well as to the citizens, residents, and Muslims around the globe.
