Duterte supporters in Europe plan mass gathering in The Hague on March 23

Supporters of former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte from different parts of Europe are set to hold a gathering in The Hague on March 23, according to former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque.

In a GMA News Online report, Roque confirmed that Dutch authorities have approved a permit for the event, but organizers are searching for a larger venue since the current location can only accommodate 500 attendees.

“Before the birthday, there will definitely be a gathering. A permit and venue have been secured, but we are looking for a bigger space,” Roque said.

He added that they are also considering applying for another permit for a gathering on Duterte’s birthday, March 28.

Filipino groups across Europe have expressed interest in joining the event. A group from Austria, Switzerland, and Hungary has already arranged for a chartered bus to transport them to The Hague. Meanwhile, organizers of a previous prayer rally in Prague are finalizing their travel plans for the weekend.
