Dusit Thani launches ‘Food for Thought’ to promote brain-boosting meals and awareness

Dusit Thani Dubai, one of the city’s most iconic landmarks on Sheikh Zayed Road, deepens its commitment to mindful dining and holistic wellbeing this October through its “Food for Thought – It’s Time to Cook with Purpose” campaign. In collaboration with 4get-me-not Alzheimer’s Organization, the hotel expands its sustainability-driven initiative to include mental health awareness, highlighting the connection between nourishment, mindfulness, and community.

Rooted in Dusit’s Tree of Life sustainability framework, Food for Thought celebrates conscious choices — on the plate and in daily life. It reminds diners that true sustainability begins not only with care for the planet but also with care for oneself and others.

As part of the month-long initiative, Dusit Thani Dubai will host a World Mental Health Day 2025 gathering on 10 October, welcoming seniors, caregivers, and grandchildren from the 4get-me-not community. The event, held at NoLo, the hotel’s award-winning dry bar, will feature LEGO workshops, chair yoga, and a singing session designed to inspire intergenerational connection and mindful interaction.

Complementing this advocacy, the hotel’s culinary team has crafted two thoughtful Food for Thought dining experiences that highlight brain-boosting ingredients, sustainable sourcing, and the art of mindful cooking.

Benjarong

Dusit Thani Dubai’s signature Thai restaurant invites guests on a cultural journey rooted in mindful consumption and tradition. The Food for Thought menu features dishes like Pla Salmon Sam Rod — crispy salmon with a tangy three-flavour sauce rich in omega-3 — and Tom Yum Goong Nam Khon, a coconut-infused prawn soup celebrated for its antioxidant herbs and restorative properties. For dessert, Khao Niew Ma Muang (mango sticky rice) offers a sweet reminder of balance and joy.

MaKiRa

At this modern Japanese “Rolls & Bowls” destination, sustainability meets simplicity. The Food for Thought set features creations like Salmon Poke Bowl with quinoa and edamame for a boost of omega-rich energy, and Tori Shio Ramen — a comforting chicken broth prepared using zero-waste techniques. Each course embodies MaKiRa’s philosophy of flavour with purpose, blending creativity with conscious dining.

Across both venues, diners will discover how mindful eating nourishes more than the body — it feeds awareness, gratitude, and connection. Through this initiative, Dusit Thani Dubai continues to bridge culinary innovation with emotional and environmental sustainability, reinforcing its belief that “sustainability begins within.”

Observed globally every October, World Mental Health Month raises awareness of emotional wellbeing and the importance of community support. By linking this cause with its Food for Thought campaign, Dusit Thani Dubai reaffirms its role as a purpose-driven hospitality leader — one that stands for graciousness, care, and compassion.
