The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai announced on Saturday that its public transport services, including taxis and shared mobility vehicles, facilitated approximately 5.9 million passengers during the recent Eid Al Fitr holiday.
According to the breakdown provided by the RTA, the Dubai Metro’s Red and Green Lines were utilized by 2.32 million riders, while the Dubai Tram transported 115 thousand passengers. Public buses saw a significant usage, with 1.2 million passengers availing themselves of this mode of transportation, and marine transport carried 416 thousand riders. Additionally, taxis played a crucial role, accommodating 1.6 million passengers, while shared mobility vehicles catered to 308,000 passengers.
