Dubai’s parking fines have surged to Dh249 million in 2024 as the city ramps up enforcement efforts. Parkin, Dubai’s sole parking operator, reported a 33% increase in fines compared to the previous year. The company expects revenues from violations to climb even further, with its fleet of 25 enforcement vehicles projected to boost fines by another 25% in 2025.
Meanwhile, toll gate operator Salik also saw fine revenues rise by 15% to Dh62 million. With advanced traffic monitoring systems in place, Dubai continues to strengthen its enforcement measures, potentially paving the way for further privatization in the traffic violation sector.
