Drivers in Dubai’s International City will soon need to factor parking fees into their daily routines, after notices posted throughout the area confirmed that paid parking will be enforced starting February 1, 2026.
Multiple signboards installed across the community announce the change, stating: “Attention: Paid parking tariffs will apply in International City starting from 01 February 2026.” The rollout was reported by Gulf News.
Information displayed on parking boards installed by Parkin shows that charges will be enforced daily from 8am until midnight. Parking will remain free on Sundays and during public holidays.
The tariff schedule lists uniform rates throughout the day, with no distinction between peak and off-peak hours. Motorists will be charged AED 2 for 30 minutes, AED 3 for one hour, AED 6 for two hours, AED 12 for four hours, AED 15 for five hours, AED 18 for six hours, and AED 22 for seven hours.
While the boards do not specify fees for parking periods between seven and 24 hours, the highest listed rate is AED 25 for a full day. This suggests that vehicles parked beyond seven hours will be charged the 24-hour amount.
Details on Parkin’s official website add further clarification, indicating that after seven hours, the next available option is a 16-hour period priced at AED 25, reflecting the fact that parking fees apply only between 8am and 12 midnight.
The notices also identify International City’s parking code as 621Q. No separate zones or differentiated rates for residents and visitors have been announced, indicating that the same tariff structure will apply to all motorists using parking spaces in the community.
