The Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) has recently introduced a novel service specifically designed to enhance accessibility for individuals with disabilities, particularly those with non-motor disabilities. This initiative marks a significant step forward in making transportation more inclusive and accessible in Dubai.
Through the DTC App, people of determination can now easily book regular taxis. This service is particularly beneficial for those who do not require the specialized taxis that are equipped for wheelchair users. In an effort to make this service more accessible, DTC is offering a generous 50 per cent discount to users, mirroring the discount provided for their dedicated service for people of determination.
This service is seamlessly accessible to holders of the Sanad card, a card designated for people of determination in Dubai. The system’s design focuses on electronic and efficient use, ensuring that booking a taxi is a straightforward and user-friendly experience.
Abdullah Ibrahim Al Meer, the Acting Chief Business Transformation Officer at Dubai Taxi Company, highlighted the significance of this launch. “The introduction of this new service is a testament to our ongoing commitment to enhance our offerings and provide smart, proactive services,” said Al Meer. He further emphasized the company’s dedication to customer satisfaction, especially among people of determination.
Al Meer added, “Aligning our services with the needs of people of determination and adhering to the highest global standards has always been a priority for DTC. Our aim is to offer top-tier transportation services and contribute to Dubai’s reputation as an inclusive city.”
The launch of this digital service is a response to the growing demand for DTC’s vehicles designed for people of determination.
