In response to the recent severe weather conditions, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced an immediate suspension of certain intercity bus routes. The affected services include the E315 route to Sharjah and the E411 route to Ajman. This precautionary measure, effective from Friday, remains in place “until further notice.”
Commuters who rely on these bus routes for travel between emirates are urged to seek alternative transportation options and stay informed about service updates. The RTA’s decision comes in the wake of unprecedented downpours across the UAE, which have significantly disrupted traffic and caused extensive road flooding.
The heavy rain has particularly impacted major roads. Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, a vital artery for inter-emirate travel, has experienced considerable delays. Additionally, a section of Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Road en route to Sharjah has been reported as flooded, further complicating travel plans for many residents and visitors.
