Dubai Knowledge Park, renowned as a hub for over 700 higher education institutes, vocational academies, and training centres, has achieved a significant milestone by securing the Guinness World Record for the ‘World’s Largest Rubik’s Cube’. This achievement comes as a part of its 20th-anniversary celebrations.
The massive Rubik’s Cube installation, part of TECOM Group PJSC, is a sight to behold, weighing over 300 kilograms and measuring 3 meters on each side. Comprising 21 fiberglass cubes, each nearly a meter tall, the installation is not just an artistic marvel but also a symbol of intellectual prowess.
Now open to the public, visitors can view and interact with this colossal Rubik’s Cube at the heart of Dubai Knowledge Park. The choice of a Rubik’s Cube as a commemorative piece holds significant meaning. In a media release issued on Tuesday, Dubai Knowledge Park stated that the cube “represents a tangible manifestation of [their] unwavering dedication to fostering creative thinking and analytical skills across generations”. Each turn of the cube is seen as more than just a puzzle; it symbolizes the acquisition of new skills, overcoming complex challenges, and bridging knowledge gaps. The Park emphasizes that the journey of acquiring knowledge should be an enjoyable experience.
Since its inception in 2003, Dubai Knowledge Park has grown into a prominent educational destination, hosting over 700 local, regional, and international establishments, and attracting talent from more than 170 countries.
