Dubai has announced designated viewing areas for families and bachelors at two key locations for this year’s New Year’s Eve celebrations: Downtown Dubai, featuring the iconic Burj Khalifa fireworks, and Dubai Hills Estate.
According to a Khaleej Times report, in Downtown Dubai, families can watch the spectacular fireworks, lighting and laser displays, and fountain shows from areas such as The Boulevard, Act 1 and 2, South Ridge, Old Town, and Cascade Garden. Bachelors will have their own spaces, including areas near the Roof Hotel, Burj Vista, Burj Views, Zabeel Mall, and Vida Residence.
For those heading to Dubai Hills Estate, the venue offers a festive atmosphere with DJ performances, children’s games, live art shows, and large viewing screens.
Safety measures are robust, with more than 10,000 personnel, including 8,000 police officers, stationed across the city. Medical support includes over 200 ambulances, 1,800 medical staff, and 10 hospitals on standby. Entry points for Downtown include two main gates, with six designated for families and one for reserved spaces.
Road closures will commence at 4pm on December 31, affecting major routes such as Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard and Burj Khalifa Street. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early to avoid delays.
As the clock strikes midnight, Dubai will light up with fireworks from 36 locations, welcoming 2025 with a dazzling display and a secure environment for all attendees.
