Dubai motorists will face higher costs as Salik toll gate charges and parking rates are set to increase in early 2025. Starting January, crossing Salik gates during peak hours—6 am to 10 am and 4 pm to 8 pm—will cost AED 6, up from AED 4. Off-peak charges remain unchanged at AED 4, while nighttime crossings from 1 am to 6 am will remain free. Sundays, excluding public holidays and major events, will also follow the AED 4 off-peak rate.
The toll hike follows the opening of two new Salik gates and aligns with the Roads and Transport Authority’s (RTA) efforts to manage traffic congestion more effectively.
Parking rates will also see adjustments beginning March 2025. Premium parking spaces will cost AED 6 per hour, while public parking during peak hours will be AED 4 per hour. Off-peak parking charges will stay the same, and parking remains free overnight and on Sundays.
Event zones, however, will introduce a new rate of AED 25 per hour starting February 2025, with the Dubai World Trade Centre area being the first to implement the change.
