His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, met with Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. during the latter’s first official visit to the UAE.
According to a WAM report, the leaders discussed strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations, focusing on enhancing trade, investments, and opportunities for professionals and service providers. Both expressed optimism about advancing mutual interests and unlocking growth potential.
H.H. Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the UAE’s commitment to deepening economic cooperation and acknowledged the contributions of the Filipino community to the UAE’s progress.
President Marcos praised the UAE’s visionary leadership and humanitarian aid, stating, “Meeting His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was an opportunity to strengthen the enduring partnership between the Philippines and the UAE.”
Marcos also highlighted gratitude for the UAE’s hospitality towards Filipinos and expressed eagerness to boost collaboration in trade, tourism, and investment, envisioning shared prosperity.
The meeting was attended by senior UAE officials, including H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, alongside Mohamed Obaid Alqataam Alzaabi, the UAE’s ambassador to the Philippines.
